MISS METRONOME
AKA EMMALINE DUFFY FALLON
Miss Metronome aka Emmaline Duffy-Fallon is best described as a human metronome. Being a drummer nerd, her influences are Matt Johnson for his perfectly timed fills and because he is a terrific drum teacher, Jody Stevens, for his phrasing, Ringo, because less is more and John Bonham, because he made drums sing, despite the ferocious beating. Miss Metronome plays a Vintage Sonor Kit that she doesn't tune but it always sounds great nevertheless. She calls them her 'magic drums'. She insists (despite scientific proof) that wearing white summer dresses and heels while performing makes her play better.
At the age of fifteen she joined the band Engine Alley, signed to Mother records and enjoyed hits such as Infamy, Mrs Winder and Song For Someone. In 1994 she left the band and under the guidance of Paul McGuinness she went solo, releasing single Now or Never in 1995. She then relocated to New York, trained as a dog trainer / behaviourist and continued to play with a selection of bands. Since returning to Europe she has played with Pete Pamf, Nick Kelly and is a founder member of Preachers Son.
When she's not rocking hard on the drums she a super nanny for dogs.
